Nuclear branch - New contract in China
On the strength of successful collaboration since 1996 and after long negotiations, Nuclear Power Qinshan Joint Venture Company (NPQJVC) has renewed its confidence in SPIE Nucléaire by awarding it a contract for the supply of motor-generators for the control rod drive mechanism power supply systems (RAM) required for the extension of Qinshan II power plant, units 3 and 4. The Qinshan plant is located in Zhejiang province on China's east coast, some 200 kilometres south of Shanghai. This €2.9 million contract covers design, supply and on-site supervision services for four motor-generator sets including instrumentation and control cabinets, and breaker and synchronisation panels for the RAM systems for two 650 MW PWRs (pressurised water reactors). The contract came into force in January 2007. The equipment is scheduled for delivery and commissioning in stages between 2008 and 2012. Confirming our excellent relations with this customer, an additional contract worth €460,000 was signed in March 2007 for the supply of special electrical connectors for the equipment specified in the main contract.
