This privacy policy (the "Policy") covers the use by SPIE Operations – located at 10 avenue de l'Entreprise, 95863 Cergy Pontoise Cedex (hereinafter "SPIE" or "we") – of the personal data of the visitors of the website "www.spie.com" (hereinafter, "you", "your").

1. Our data protection commitments

SPIE undertakes to do its best efforts to comply, in the context of its processing of personal data, with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the General Data Protection Regulation, or "GDPR") and Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms (the "Information Technology and Freedoms Law") (together, the "Applicable Data Protection Legislation"). 

2. What data do we collect?

By means of the "Contact us" section, we collect the information that you provide to us, in particular the following mandatory information: title, surname, first name, e-mail address, subject of your request and data communicated in the body of the message. Through our audience measurement cookies, we also collect data relating to your browsing habits, in particular the type of browser used, the number of pages viewed, the exact browsing path that a visitor takes on the site and your IP address. SPIE uses the Axeptio consent manager to manage the collection of your consent to the use of cookies and to demonstrate that it has been obtained.

3. How do we use your data?

SPIE processes your personal data in accordance with the Applicable Data Protection Legislation. Your data will be collected and processed by SPIE for specific purposes and only if an appropriate and relevant legal basis allows it. SPIE processes your personal data for the purpose of processing and responding to your requests made via the online contact form and to better understand your needs and interests. We process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest in publicly presenting the activities and organization of the SPIE Group.

4. With whom is your data shared?

The data collected is that which is strictly necessary and essential for the purposes set out above and only if required for the processing of your request, your data may be communicated to SPIE Group entities, a list of which can be found by clicking on this lien. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Your data is also communicated to our technical hosting provider and hosted in France. Your data will be kept for a maximum of two years from the date of communication.

5. What are your rights?

In accordance with the Applicable Data Protection Legislation, you have a right of access, rectification, deletion, limitation, opposition, and a right to the portability of your data. You also have the right to give instructions concerning the use of your data after your death.
