Cergy, 10 September 2013 – SPIE announces the appointment of Philippe Girault as Chief Executive Officer of SPIE Île-de-France Nord-Ouest.
Philippe Girault, 42, who graduated in engineering from the École Supérieure d'Électricité (Supélec) in 1993, started his career at Alstom Transport in charge of the construction of the Métrobus network for the Rouen conurbation from 1993 to 1995, before being appointed Project Director in electromechanics on the construction of the Athens metro from 1995 to 2000.
He joined the SPIE Group in 2000, as Office Manager in Laval within SPIE Ouest-Centre, where he was appointed Director of Development and Strategy in 2004. He then joined SPIE Île-de-France Nord-Ouest where he was successively, between 2008 and 2013, Director of Electrical Engineering in the commercial sector then Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
In September 2013, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest, and thus will become a member of the SPIE General Management Committee. He replaces Philippe Cosson, who has elected to retire after a career spanning almost 40 years with SPIE.
