Public-private partnership with Val-de-Reuil (Eure): town entrusts new works to SPIE

The town of Val-de-Reuil, in Eure, France, has chosen SPIE Ouest-Centre, as leader of a consortium with Sogire, to carry out new street lighting works extending the initial scope of the public-private partnership (PPP) signed in December 2010.
The street lighting renovation project for some districts of Val-de-Reuil, including its central district in particular, was to be covered by a scheme involving the French national urban renovation agency (ANRU). Owing to changes to its project, however, Val-de-Reuil eventually decided to entrust the works to SPIE Ouest-Centre in an extension its PPP contract. The aim is to ensure the consistent quality of all the street lighting installations throughout the town. The SPIE teams will be carrying out the following work between September and December this year:
  • replacement of 400 globe type light fittings with latest-generation lighting, including ED lamps,
  • reconstruction of 3 km of electric power network.

This new order demonstrates the confidence the town of Val-de-Reuil has in our local teams. It also rewards the high standard of the works performed by SPIE in the town over the previous 18 months. These works gave results satisfying all the objectives set in terms of energy savings (56% saving on renovated installations and 28% on all the town's installations), budget management, compliance with delivery dates, satisfaction of residents and local councillors, etc.
