In Poland, SPIE partnered with the private investor QWP Wądroże Wielkie to help bring a new wind farm to their region. SPIE’s scope of work included the executive design and civil works of this onshore wind farm. In addition to building access roads, assembly yards and the wind turbine foundations, SPIE’s teams installed a 20 kV cable network with telecommunications infrastructure. Today, the Wądroże Wielkie wind farm, with its total capacity of 17.5 MW, helps to generate more renewable wind energy for southwestern Poland.
