With an ambition to expand the green individual transport options available to residents, Stadtwerke Rüsselsheim GmbH, an independent public utilities supplier, turned to SPIE to increase their city’s charging infrastructure. SPIE installed, connected and commissioned over 200 charging stations with more than 500 charging points for the project, also delivering cable and data cabinets. SPIE’s engineers were also responsible for al electrical infrastructure for the complete earthing system.
Both normal and high-speed charging points are available to the public, allowing some vehicles to charge enough in 15 minutes to travel 100km. By facilitating private e-mobility, SPIE is helping to advance Rüsselsheim’s climate transition goals.
