New lampposts in the architectural style of the 1960s were installed by SPIE and feature eco-friendly bulbs and wiring. The upgrades allow the city to meet heritage preservation requirements while reducing its environmental impact: the new LED bulbs halve electricity consumption, cutting CO2 emissions.
SPIE also worked in close cooperation with numerous public utility companies, as laying the lighting foundations required digging into the subway beneath the boulevard.
Reduction in electricity consumption.
LED light columns installed along adjacent footpaths.
