Reducing energy consumption in Saint-Priest

To reduce energy consumption from public lighting, the commune of Saint- Priest, France, awarded SPIE a nine-year contract to design, install, operate and maintain public lighting infrastructure.

Saint-Priest’s global public performance contract with SPIE allows the inclusion of quantified performance objectives such as energy efficiency or ecological impact. 

SPIE is thus committed to reducing the municipality’s energy consumption by more than 70%. It will do so by replacing 257 light poles and 6,000 light points with more energyefficient and sustainable infrastructure. 

There will also be a digital component that will enable the connection of remote management modules, permitting the smart management of lighting in the commune.
