School energy management in Nouvelle Aquitaine

Since 2011, SPIE has been responsible for the energy installations of 20 high schools in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of France. In 2021, SPIE’s successful work optimising
energy consumption and practices in these schools helped the Group to win a new series of contracts to manage the energy facilities of 30 schools in the region until 2029. Since most public facilities in this area were built before 1975, many of these school buildings have poor energy efficiency.
SPIE is helping these schools decarbonise and reduce energy costs by updating and then operating the schools’ collective heating, hot water, ventilation and general
electricity supply systems. In several schools so far, upgrades have decarbonised almost all heating consumptions.
