On behalf of Netze BW, SPIE is expanding and modernising the transformer station in Neckarsulm, Germany to meet growing energy demand. Netze BW designed a basic concept for the modernisation and prepared the project, which SPIE is now executing in order to deliver the station for turnkey operation. SPIE’s engineers are responsible for all planning, controlling, coordination, delivery, assembly and installation tasks. Work is taking place alongside day-to-day operations, to ensure continuous power supply.
SPIE expects to deliver completed renovations ready for turnkey operation by summer 2023. The updates will bring greater power capacity to support the region’s growing infrastructure, including the expansion of an Audi plant and more charging stations for electric vehicles.
