Saving energy and cutting costs

SPIE to attend major industry event

Wiesbaden/Karlsruhe, June 20th, 2017 – What is the best strategy for an efficient energy supply? And where can savings be made? Both decision-makers and suppliers will attend an event in Wiesbaden on June 20th and 21st, to discuss exactly that. SPIE will be present at the "Energieeffizienz Strategiedialog" as the multi-technical service provider’s specialist knows exactly how to optimise the energy consumption of machines, facilities and buildings. One week later, SPIE will also demonstrate its substantial expertise in energy consulting at interCOGEN in Karlsruhe.

Over 50 technical decision-makers, solution providers and scientists will attend the "Energieeffizienz Strategiedialog" to share their experience and ideas and initiate joint projects. SPIE is sought after mainly as a result of its modern electricity and heat generation solutions, which are provided from a single source and tailored individually to every single customer. Grid relief using power storage solutions is a major topic in the area of intelligent energy management.

Dialogue format

Many presentations and one-to-one talks at this industry event will focus particularly on the digitisation of the transition to renewable energies. Statutory amendments in the areas of big data analytics and Industry 4.0 also have an impact on energy management. One key question is how to raise awareness of sustainability among employees in order to ensure that energy efficiency becomes an active part of their day-to-day work and work culture. Cogeneration plants and LED lighting also provide potential for heating and air-conditioning improvements. “Optimisation solutions can be found anywhere if you look closely,” said Roland Blum, Senior Sales Manager at SPIE Energy Solutions. The European market leader also serves industrial customers and complex sites such as hospitals.

Focus on energy efficiency

SPIE will also contribute its expertise at another event: interCOGEN on June 28th and 29th in Karlsruhe. The cogeneration trade fair is part of the CEB 2017 (Clean Energy Building) industry event. Senior Project Manager Thomas Knorr will give a talk about the installation and operation of a combined power, heat/steam and cooling plant and other measures to increase energy efficiency, save costs and protect the environment in the Klinikum am Bruderwald hospital in Bamberg. This event will also focus on how businesses can save energy and cut costs as a result. SPIE Energy Solutions’ experts will be available at Stand C.08 in the main hall on both days of the trade fair.
