SPIE and Mettenmeier offer an intelligent portal and process solution for application management

Paderborn/Dortmund, 1st July 2020 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, and Mettenmeier GmbH have expanded the jointly developed, cloud-ready asset management system AM Suite to include an additional high-performance module: the “AM Servicecenter”. It consists of a portal solution for online applications and a process solution for the internal processing.

AM Servicecenter is an intelligent portal and process solution for digital application management. No matter whether this involves connecting a photovoltaic plant, a charging point, electric power supply for a construction site or the installation or dismantling of a complete grid connection, AM Servicecenter manages all the activities and documents relevant to the applications across the various business lines and departments. The solution is not only suitable for grid operators and civil engineering companies but also architects, property developers, installers and final customers. Among its various benefits are faster and simpler processes and the greatest possible transparency through real-time tracking. Additional advantages are the significant cost and time savings through the automation of all processes. The workflow can be customised within the application. The AM Servicecenter module uses state-of-the-art software system architecture and is compatible with all browsers and mobile operating systems.

In addition to the modules AM Outage for troubleshooting and AM Maintenance for maintenance, AM Servicecenter is additional high-performance component that gives the AM Suite, an asset management system based on the latest software architecture with microservices and available as an app, a further technical boost. The module enhances the service package and simplifies users’ workflows. Data is entered via input screens that have been optimised by Mettenmeier and SPIE focusing on UX design. In this regard, the IT expert and the multi-technical service provider have adapted this frontend to the relevant question/answer situation in a subject-specific, comprehensive and dynamic manner. In this way, the subscriber or its service provider receives maximum support when filling in forms. This doesn’t just reduce the error rate; complete application documents also lead to fewer queries and hence to a time and quality advantage. Customers can personalise the layout to suit their corporate design.

The workflow guides users securely through the process

Once in the system, intelligent algorithms in the form of a workflow engine conveniently guide the user without media disruption through the processing procedure. They ensure that no application is left unfinished and that the process is performed quickly and thoroughly.
