Paris, June 17, 2019 – SPIE ICS, a French subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has just had its Cisco Gold certification extended to include the new “Webex Calling” service. A key step for this company specialising in unified communications and collaborative solutions, that will now be in a position to support its customers with their ever more extensive needs in collaborative exchanges.
A fast, comprehensive service
Launched this April in Europe and intended for Intermediate-Sized Enterprises as well as large companies, Webex Calling combines the UcaaS1 technologies developed by Broadsoft2 and Cisco Webex collaborative technologies (collaborative working, audio and video-conferencing technologies, etc.) in one single service. Flexible, simple to manage and interoperable with existing systems, this solution also represents a significant breakthrough for end users, who can now access a range of enhanced, modular services within a unified and open environment. All of the applications (telephony, collaborative spaces, audio and video-conferencing, services developed specifically for the company) will be available on a wide range of terminals and multimedia devices using one single user profile.
A market position 100% on the Cloud
The launch of Webex Calling in Europe reflects the major acceleration in the unified communications and collaborative solutions market. Within the next two years, close to 70% of French companies will move towards Cloud solutions. Cisco and its Gold Certified Partner SPIE ICS have chosen to position themselves at the forefront of this innovation with the launch of this ground-breaking service: it effectively enables companies to seek global support in defining their needs, implementing adapted solutions and supporting their customers.
As an integrator and operator, SPIE ICS is the first partner to offer this service on the French market with or without telephone communications. Webex Calling is offered to companies as part of a subscription plan that is constantly adaptable to the number of users and allows everyone to benefit from the latest functionalities. Available across the board in France, the new service is also well suited for major international companies, with 36 countries currently covered.
“With 1 million users a year moving towards Cloud solutions before the year 2022, we are embarking upon a major transformation in this market. This new alliance with Cisco completes our Digital Workplace global service. It provides our customers with a solution that is adapted to the very significant growth in collaborative exchanges and to the mobility of users, including on an international scale,” explains Jérôme Beaufils, Director for Business Development and Strategy at SPIE ICS. “The appetite of intermediate-sized enterprises and key accounts for these new service models suggests rapid development prospects in France.”
