Rotterdam, October 31st, 2017 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, will carry out the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) works on the ETT4 programme for Euro Tank Terminal (ETT), a provider of storage services, part of VTTI, an independent energy storage company. The contract includes the expansion of four new tanks on the site of the Rotterdam-based company.
SPIE, which is located near the ETT site, has been maintaining the E&I installations on the ETT area for several years. For this contract, SPIE will be in charge of the low-voltage installations and of the instrumentation, that means it will install the cable conduits and lay and connect the cables. In addition, SPIE will install the lighting, cameras and fire alarm systems and will be responsible for the entire commissioning. Preparatory work is underway and the project will be completed mid-2018.
In his role as Business Development Manager, Dennis Vrijenhoek has been responsible for the commercial process. He looks back with some satisfaction: “The first exploratory talks with ETT date from the end of 2016 and eventually led ETT will get the job done with SPIE. That’s a sign of good and mutual faith.”
