A mobile app providing access to all the Group’s news in real time
Cergy, October 26th, 2017 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has just launched the @SPIE application for mobile phones and tablets, for external and in-house use. Staff members, partners, suppliers, customers, the general public... now everyone can access all SPIE information and news in real time.
A customisable tool enabling the user to stay connected to SPIE
After a few months in existence and having recently been made available to the general public, the @SPIE app has already been downloaded almost 5,500 times. With its interface in 5 languages (French, English, German, Dutch and Polish), @SPIE gives you special, centralised access to the main sources of information in relation to the Group and its subsidiaries. Press releases, external news, the SPIE share price and publications on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube) are freely accessible; notifications invite the user to access key news topics. Each user can configure @SPIE to select issues of particular interest (Smart city, IoT, aeronautics, sustainable development, energy efficiency, etc.), in order to create his/her own news feed. All this information is therefore visible at a glance on the app’s home page.
A unique platform for in-house and external content
For Group staff members, the @SPIE application also offers a connected mode, accessible by login and password. This provides staff members, wherever they are, with access to all in-house information published by SPIE and its subsidiaries on the SPIE intranet and offers them a mobile portal to the company's tools and services such as the virtual library or knowledge management platform.
“By creating a unique platform for in-house and external content, we are enhancing our proximity to staff members, particularly those working on remote sites who are not connected to the company's digital resources, and to all of our stakeholders: customers, suppliers, partners, etc.” explains Pascal Omnès, SPIE group communications director. “A genuine Group digital hub which already incorporates numerous services, the @SPIE app will undoubtedly need to keep developing so that it can offer new content, services and functions. @SPIE is a key aspect of the Group's digital transformation towards a ‘platform’ approach, at the heart of the interactions between its stakeholders.”
