SPIE Ouest-Centre Ship Building and Repair Department furthers its development in Brest and Cherbourg
A new three-year framework contract has been signed with DCNS Brest. This contract is for maintenance on mechanical and fabricated systems on submarines during overhauls at Brest and Ile Longue. A team of between six and eight persons will be required to work practically permanently on this project. In awarding this contract, DCNS confirms the confidence it has already shown in SPIE Ouest-Centre's teams for major overhauls of "Le Triomphant", "L'Ouessant" and "Le Téméraire". In addition, CMN (Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie) has entrusted SPIE Ouest-Centre with the installation of wiring and connections on a motor yacht being built in Cherbourg. This work, scheduled to take 10 months, will mobilise a team of some 10 people. The contract also provides, on option, for identical work on a second vessel of the same type. This deal is worth €750,000 to SPIE Ouest-Centre for each yacht. Contact SPIE SA
