SPIE Ouest-Centre signs partnership with Emballage Technologies

2012 Packaging Exhibition
Parc des expositions Paris-Nord Villepinte
Emballage Technologies stand: Hall 5a - No. B 073

Specialised in the design, development and installation of packaging lines, Emballage Technologies is joining forces with SPIE Ouest-centre. Its goal is to supply reliable long-term turnkey solutions combining mechanical, electromechanical and robotic engineering for all food industries. SPIE Ouest-Centre will be especially involved in the field of robotics, through a specialised department. This partnership will provide this regional subsidiary of our engineering and services group with an excellent opportunity to expand its business into the food industry, fast-growing sector with the biggest investments in western France.
For the packaging process, SPIE will supply solutions for handling, loading and cartoning of products, and supplementary operations for closure of packagings. The two partners eventually aim to develop standard processes to optimise their response to market needs. “Combining our expertise with the skills of Emballage Technologies is bound to expand our business,” explains Bruno Le Lay, Director of SPIE Ouest-Centre Process Department. “This partnership also provides us with the opportunity to develop a specialised offering in this field and to recruit personnel with the new skills we will need in order to roll out that offering.” “Robotics is a key technology for transferring products from the production line to packaging machines, especially for firms that often change the packaging formats on a single line,” points out Pierrick Doux, Director of Emballage Technologies. “At a first stage, we wanted to integrate this expertise into our company. Our discussions with SPIE helped us pinpoint the needs of both parties: for SPIE, this meant investment in robotics; for Emballage Technologies, it meant ensuring impeccable service, with robotics integrated into the offering. We built our partnership on that basis. I should add that, for our customers, SPIE is an invaluable reference, giving them the assurance of optimal service.” Press contacts
