SPIE releases its 2011 annual report: “ All players in the green economy”
Cergy, 9 July – SPIE announces the release of its Annual and Sustainable Development Report 2011. This new issue focuses on the Group's customers and partners to illustrate its increasing commitment to serving the green economy.
“All players in the green economy” concludes a trilogy which began with the 2009 annual report entitled “SPIE, a player in the green economy” and which unveiled the Group's new corporate project centred on integrating carbon constraints and making allowance for the scarcity of natural resources, particularly energy resources. The 2010 annual report, “The green economy - Our vision and solutions”, placed the spotlight on SPIE employees to give a real picture of how this deep, strategically defining commitment is implemented on a day-to-day basis and at every level of the company at the service of a more sustainable world. Designed and produced as a “hyperdocument” (a printed document offering multimedia content accessible via QR codes), this report is at the very heart of an unparalleled multiplatform, digital, editorial ecosystem available both online and offline (PC, Android, iPad, etc.). The digital versions of this exemplary document are adaptable to all types of digital format and are accessible to disabled people. Print on Demand technology limits printing to the strict minimum in keeping with an eco-responsible approach. In addition, there are functions for sharing over social networks. Hallmark of the Group
Convergence between conventional publications, mobile services mobiles and the Internet has been a reality at SPIE since 2009 as a result of its unprecedented approach to corporate publishing, combining corporate communication and sustainable development requirements with the latest advances in publishing and multimedia technologies.
