SPIE wins contract again from Federal Foreign Office

Essen, February 10, 2015 - In the coming five years the Federal Foreign Office will once again be placing its trust in SPIE GmbH’s services. The multi-technical service provider beat other bidders, after a new tender was issued for the technical facility management of the Federal Foreign Office’s properties in Berlin. SPIE has already been working for the Federal Foreign Office since 2005.

Apart from the Federal Foreign Office itself in the government district, SPIE GmbH will also manage the reception building for guests of state on the north side of Berlin-Tegel Airport, and the Academy of the Federal Foreign Office at Lake Tegel, where 180 students are being trained to join the diplomatic service.
Overall, SPIE GmbH will be responsible for technical systems across a gross floor area of some 210,000 square meters. The service provider manages complex building services engineering in new and old buildings, and meets the client’s demanding requirement for the permanent availability of its technical systems.

We are delighted that the Federal Foreign Office has once again given us a vote of confidence,” says Andreas Schmutzler, Head of the Facility Solutions Southeast Region of SPIE GmbH, adding that this was an affirmation of past achievements, and an incentive to strive for peak performance during the upcoming contract term.
