Ratingen, 10 July 2020 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, and Volksbank Mainspitze eG have decided on a sustainable partnership in the field of communications technology. Telba, which joined the Group in 2019, will be the contracting unit. Volksbank Mainspitze eG will benfit from the Telba’s long experience in information, communication and security technology. Volksbank Mainspitze eG employs 123 staff members, is responsible for six branches in the entire Rhine-Main region and supports around 35,400 customers.
“As a bank our customer is responsible for highly sensitive data. We are therefore proud that Volksbank Mainspitze has chosen us as its trustworthy partner”, says Michael Ridzewski, sales consultant at Telba. “The award of the service contract for the next three years for the data networks and the telecommunications system also confirms the confidence in our expertise and performance.”
Advanced technology enables higher energy efficiency
SPIE will be responsible for the migration of the telecommunications system, as well as the data communication products. This includes modernising the software currently used, replacing the required hardware with state-of-the-art and more efficient equipment. Apart from the higher efficiency, the Power over Ethernet (PoE) feature is another advantage. For instance, the PoE connection will also deliver electricity to, the devices, without additional plug-in power supply units. This lowers the facility’s power consumption and also reduces sources of disturbances. “We were particularly able to convince our customer about this solution, because the new technology not only increases the security and efficiency of the system but also considerably cuts energy consumption”, reports Michael Ridzewski.
